"Memory allocation error" while registering winPadLock.ocx

(3 posts)

  1. On some of the computers of my clients, I got an error message saying a problem
with "memory allocation" and the regsvr32 command failed.
Do I have to have VB6 run-time libray before registering the OCX?
    Thanks for supporting.

    Yes, WinPadLock.ocx depends on VB6 run-time library.

When did the error message poped-up? During installation or when program is launched?
Please post the exact error message here, word for word, as it appeared on your screen.

  3. Thanks for your reply.
I use winpadlock.ocx on many of my clients' PCs. Problem is the error message does
not necessarily appear on the same pc as expected.
There is another complaint about mysterious XP blue-screen on those PCs. Once winpadlock.ocx is unregistered, the system hang
    does not happen.
I shall keep tesing and post further findings here.
Could you please inform me of the file names of VB6 run-time library as I am not
familiar with VB6? Hopefully the solution to the problem lies in those files
being properly placed on system direcotry. Thanks again.
